Minister for Education Ben Carroll and Member for Bellarine Alison Marchant visited Clifton Springs Primary School last Wednesday to open the school’s $16.1 million upgrade and modernisation project, delivered by the Allan Labor Government.

The works replaced or upgraded the majority of the school's facilities.

This project included a new STEM building, administration area, wellbeing space, staffroom, 16 classrooms and a new toilet block.

The new wellness space includes a sensory room as a quiet space for students. It also hoses a welfare office, disability and inclusion worker office and a space for the mental health practitioners.

The upgraded library is larger than the previous library with more spaces for children to read and learn, and the new art space includes a dedicated kiln room as well as general art spaces.

The science room has also been updated and includes Bunsen burner facilities for the first time.

This project also relocated portable classrooms and landscaped the school grounds.
