Labor is making kinder more accessible for families across the Bellarine.

New kinders are being delivered in Point Lonsdale, Ocean Grove and St Leonards.

Minister for Children Lizzie Blansthorn and Member for Bellarine Alison Marchant today announced that a brand new kinder is coming to Point Lonsdale Primary School in 2029, with up to 59 places.

A new two-room kinder will also open at Bellarine Secondary College in 2027 with 118 places.

Early Learning Victoria St Leonards will open in 2028, with 102 kindergarten and long daycare places.

The St Leonards site will also have outdoor playspaces and a maternal and child health consulting space – plus a community space for meetings and playgroups.

Importantly, children attending these services will have access to Free Kinder – Labor’s nation-leading program which is now saving families up to $2,700 per child, per year.

We’re also delivering 50 government owned and operated Early Learning Victoria centres in the places that need them most.

And we’ve already built or expanded more than 100 kindergartens on or near school sites.
